Repeals the requirement that physicians must perform a physical exam and be physically present when administering abortion-inducing drugs

Eliminates the requirement that physicians performing abortions must have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles (previously held unenforceable by the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2015)

Removes abortion-specific informed consent requirements that exceed standard medical informed consent, including the mandatory 24-hour waiting period and in-person provision of certain information and written materials

Repeals the felony prohibition (up to $10,000 fine or 3.5 years imprisonment) on non-physicians performing abortions, while maintaining other abortion restrictions such as the post-viability ban

Takes effect the day after publication, with one provision regarding Medical Examining Board investigation procedures taking effect March 1, 2026
