Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, per pupil aid would automatically increase annually by linking it to increases in Milwaukee Parental Choice Program voucher payments for high school students

Milwaukee voucher payments for high school students are adjusted each year based on revenue limit increases for school districts plus increases in categorical aids

Per pupil aid is funded through a sum sufficient appropriation and does not count against school district revenue limits

The change only applies if the voucher payment increase is positive; decreases would not reduce per pupil aid
