Increases first-year consolidation aid from $150 to $2,000 per pupil for school district consolidations taking effect in 2026, 2027, or 2028

Maintains current aid structure of $150 per pupil for years 2-5 following consolidation for these qualifying districts

Keeps existing seven-year consolidation aid timeline, with year 6 at 50% and year 7 at 25% of the fifth-year amount

Applies the increased first-year rate to both voluntary consolidations (s. 117.08) and consolidations by referendum (s. 117.09)

Consolidation aid remains funded through a sum sufficient appropriation from the Department of Public Instruction
