Department of Transportation must establish a local intersection safety program to assist political subdivisions in improving safety at signalized and stop-sign-controlled intersections

Political subdivisions may apply for DOT to make improvements or receive reimbursements/grants for intersections they identify as having excessively high crash rates

DOT must use traffic and crash data from 2019-2024 to identify the top 10% of counties with highest intersection crash rates for prioritization

Program receives $6,000,000 appropriation for fiscal year 2025-26
