Department of Corrections must provide inmates in state correctional institutions with 3 hours per week of outdoor time

Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility inmates are exempt until their 91st day of holding; this provision takes effect January 1, 2028

County sheriffs must provide inmates in county jails or houses of correction with 3 hours per week of outdoor time beginning on the inmate's 31st day of holding

Outdoor access requirements do not apply to inmates during prison/jail lockdowns or those held in solitary confinement
