State correctional institutions and county jails must provide free verified nontoxic menstrual products to inmates with active menstrual cycles, including at least 3 brands of tampons (one with plastic applicator), at least 3 brands of menstrual pads, and at least one reusable menstrual cup in appropriate absorbencies.

Department of Corrections must develop procedures to verify products as nontoxic (free from carcinogens, phthalates, heavy metals, dioxins, pesticides, PFAS, volatile organic compounds) and publish an approved product list.

All facilities must provide means to sanitize reusable menstrual cups on an as-needed basis.

Responsibility falls on the Department of Corrections for state institutions and on county sheriffs for county jails and houses of correction.
