DATCP would be required to provide grants for food waste reduction pilot projects focused on preventing food waste, redirecting surplus food to hunger relief organizations, and composting food waste

Grant preference must be given to proposals serving census tracts with median household income below the statewide median and where no grocery store is located

Appropriates $100,000 in GPR annually for fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27 to fund the grant program

DATCP must promulgate administrative rules to implement the grant program
