Department of Public Instruction must create a grant program for school counselors to cover costs of continuing education and training in mental and behavioral health

Eligible recipients must hold a DPI-issued school counselor license and be required to hold that license for their employment

Program begins in the 2026-27 school year

Appropriates $2,000,000 in general purpose revenue for fiscal year 2026-27 (no funding in 2025-26)

DPI is required to promulgate administrative rules to implement and administer the program
