Amends Wisconsin statute 118.07 (4) (bm) 2. to expand required components of school safety plans for public and private schools

Requires school safety plans to include procedures for notifying pupils and their families when an event triggering the safety plan has occurred

Requires school safety plans to include procedures for debriefing pupils, staff, and families after a safety plan event

Applies to existing required safety plan events including school violence, attacks, bomb threats, fire, weather emergencies, intruders, and threats to non-classroom events

Effective date: July 1, 2026
