State Superintendent of Public Instruction must develop recommended training courses on recognizing, reporting, and preventing human trafficking and sextortion for grades 6-12, in consultation with the Department of Children and Families and Department of Justice

School boards must provide age-appropriate instruction in human trafficking and sextortion prevention at least once in grades 6-8 and once in grades 9-12, beginning in the 2026-27 school year

Full-time licensed school district employees must receive training in identifying current and potential victims of child trafficking and sextortion

Sextortion is defined as sexual exploitation where a perpetrator obtains sexually explicit material from a victim and threatens to release it unless the victim provides money, additional sexual content, or engages in sexual activity
