Electric providers cannot prohibit interconnection with rooftop solar systems up to 500 kilowatts for commercial buildings or 30 kilowatts for residential buildings

Credits expire on March 31 each year, cannot be converted to cash payments, and are transferable to new building owners at time of sale

Electric providers may reduce the credit rate to 90% of retail rates if rooftop solar adoption exceeds 10% of summer peak demand in any of the preceding 12 months

Battery storage capacity cannot be counted toward the system generating capacity limits
