Requires school boards to adopt the expanded policy by July 1, 2027, replacing the current requirement under 2025 Wisconsin Act 42 that applied only during instruction

Permits school boards to require storage pouches for devices, prohibit possession of devices on school premises entirely, or impose consequences including confiscation for the remainder of the day

Maintains required exceptions for emergencies, health care management, IEP or 504 plan accommodations, and teacher-authorized educational use during instruction

Defines covered devices as cellular phones, tablets, laptops, and gaming devices; exempts school-district-issued devices from the prohibition
