Data centers and their agents are prohibited from entering into nondisclosure agreements or other agreements that conceal development details from the public or prevent public review

Cities, villages, towns, and counties are similarly prohibited from entering into agreements that hide data center development information from the public

Political subdivisions cannot permit or approve data center projects if either the data center/agent or the political subdivision violates these nondisclosure prohibitions

Agreements solely intended to protect trade secrets are exempt from these prohibitions

"Data center" is defined as a Wisconsin facility whose primary services are digital data storage, management, and processing, housing computer/network systems, servers, telecommunications, and related infrastructure
