Led the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families (now Kids Forward) for 22 years as the state's leading child advocacy organization

Served on the Madison School Board from 1980 to 1989 and was active in League of Women Voters and Grandparents United for Madison Public Schools

Served on boards for Kids Forward Foundation, Madison Children's Museum, Madison Public Schools Foundation, NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin, and Solace Friends

Wisconsin State Legislature formally honors her life and legacy as a progressive leader committed to economic and social justice
