Amends Article I, Section 2 of the Wisconsin Constitution to remove the exception that currently allows slavery or involuntary servitude as punishment for convicted criminals

Creates an absolute constitutional prohibition on slavery and involuntary servitude in Wisconsin without any exceptions

Represents first consideration of a constitutional amendment, which requires adoption by two successive legislatures and voter ratification to take effect

Requires publication for three months prior to the next general election when the subsequent legislature will consider it
