Creates Section 27 of Article I of the Wisconsin Constitution establishing a fundamental right to a clean, safe, and healthy natural environment, including clean water, clean air, healthy soils, self-sustaining ecosystems, and a safe and stable climate

Extends environmental rights to future generations and requires equitable protection for all communities in the state

Designates the state as trustee with a duty to protect Wisconsin's natural resources for all people, including future generations

Requires strict scrutiny judicial review for any government restrictions on these rights, meaning restrictions must serve a compelling state interest and be narrowly tailored with no less restrictive alternative

First consideration passage by the 2025 legislature; requires adoption by the next legislature and ratification by voters to become effective
