Uecker served as the primary radio broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers for 54 years, making him one of the longest-tenured single-team broadcasters in Major League Baseball history

Played as a catcher in MLB from 1962-1967 for the Milwaukee Braves, St. Louis Cardinals (1964 World Series champions), Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves; also served in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of corporal

Received numerous honors including the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame (2003), induction into the Radio Hall of Fame (2001), and two statues at American Family Field

Known for entertainment career including starring in the sitcom Mr. Belvedere (1985-1990), the film Major League, over 100 appearances on The Tonight Show, and extensive philanthropic work with organizations including Make a Wish Foundation and Wounded Warriors
