Recognizes November 10, 2025, as the 50th anniversary of the sinking of SS Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior

SS Edmund Fitzgerald, a 729-foot bulk cargo vessel launched in 1958, was the largest ship on the Great Lakes for 13 years

The ship sank on November 10, 1975, during a violent storm while carrying over 26,000 tons of iron ore from Superior, Wisconsin to Zug Island, Michigan, killing all 29 crew members

Eight of the 29 crew members who perished were Wisconsin residents, with seven from the south shore of Lake Superior

Acknowledges the ongoing service of thousands of workers in the Great Lakes maritime industry and the families still affected by the tragedy
