Grants county sheriffs final authority to determine whether a law enforcement officer is qualified to serve as a bailiff in their county's court facilities

Allows sheriffs to make judgments on whether an officer meets position requirements, is an appropriate choice, or any combination of these determinations

Amends existing court security board law, which maintains a list of certified law enforcement officers eligible to serve as bailiffs

The court security board continues to compile and maintain the list of qualified officers, but sheriffs now have ultimate approval power over individual bailiff selections
