Increases the probationary appointment period for paid municipal firefighters hired through the Firemen's Civil Service Commission from six months to one year

Applies to vacancies filled through the civil service eligible list certification process in paid fire departments

Maintains existing appointment procedures requiring the appointing officer to select from the top three candidates on the eligible list based on competitive examination scores

Takes effect July 8, 2025 (90 days after passage on April 9, 2025)
