Increases the maximum number of children allowed in informal family child care settings from 3 or fewer to up to 12 children

Changes the child count calculation to exclude children living in the provider's household, rather than including them in the total

Removes the previous restriction that only counted children under six years of age toward the limit

Care must still be provided in the provider's own home to at least one child who is not related to the caregiver
