Requires all health insurers in West Virginia to provide coverage for bioidentical hormones when determined to be medically necessary by a licensed physician

Applies to individual and group accident and sickness insurance policies, hospital/medical/dental/health service corporations, health care corporations, and health maintenance organizations

Physicians must conduct a thorough evaluation of patient symptoms, diagnostic test results, or response to treatment before ordering bioidentical hormones for coverage to apply

Effective date set as January 1, 2025 for policies delivered or issued in the state

Amends five separate articles of the West Virginia Code (Articles 15, 16, 24, 25, and 25A of Chapter 33) to ensure uniform coverage requirements across all insurance types
