Establishes a trades-based elective course pilot program for West Virginia public high school students interested in trades careers, counting as one credit toward graduation

Covers English, language arts, science, and other applicable subjects (except math) with emphasis on trades-specific information, including résumé preparation and available trade career options

Requires instructors to meet the same qualifications needed to teach current trade classes; existing community and technical college faculty are qualified to teach the course

Pilot program locations will be distributed across geographic regions including community and technical colleges in the north, south, east, west, and both panhandles of the state

Takes effect July 1, 2025, with the State Board of Education required to report annually to LOCEA on program effectiveness starting July 30, 2026, for three years
