All high school students in West Virginia must complete at least 20 hours of community service before receiving a diploma under this new graduation requirement

The State Board of Education is directed to compile a list of approved community service activities and distribute it to county boards of education

Students may apply to have additional activities recognized as community service with approval from their school, county board, or state board
