Requires guardians ad litem appointed in minor settlement proceedings to have completed all continuing education requirements for representing or serving as a guardian ad litem for children under §49-4-601

Sets compensation for guardians ad litem in minor settlement proceedings at $200 per hour plus reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses

Mandates that any attorney representing a child or serving as a guardian ad litem must first complete training on representation of children approved by the Supreme Court of Appeals administrative office, in addition to existing 8-hour continuing legal education requirements per reporting period

Removes language indicating that the 8-hour continuing education requirement and the specialized child representation training were separate cumulative requirements, consolidating them into a single training standard
