Regional airport authority board members may now be residents of either the municipality or the contiguous county that created the authority, expanding eligibility beyond previous residency restrictions

Municipalities and counties can each appoint board members from within either government entity's boundaries, allowing for more flexible appointment options

Board membership may include any combination of qualified municipal and county residents

Voting requirements for each municipality and county remain unchanged under existing §8-29-4 of the code

Effective date: July 8, 2025 (90 days from passage on April 9, 2025)
