Extends the payment deadline for charges levied by county fire prevention units for firefighting services, victim rescue, or hazardous materials cleanup from 75 days to 180 days

Maintains the existing provision that fire departments may pursue court action to recover fees, attorney costs, and court costs if payment is not received within 90 days and no payment schedule has been established

Applies to any person, partnership, corporation, or governmental agency responsible for charges unless exempt by law

Written payment agreements between fire departments and responsible parties to establish payment schedules remain an alternative to full payment within the deadline
