Establishes minimum base salaries effective July 1, 2025, for county commissioners and other elected county officials (sheriffs, county clerks, circuit clerks, assessors, and prosecuting attorneys) across ten county classes, ranging from $24,394-$45,535 for commissioners and $47,811-$119,011 for other officials depending on position and county class

Requires county commissions to review the Consumer Price Index every two years starting March 1, 2026, to determine if budget increases can support salary raises for elected officials

Authorizes county commissions to increase elected official salaries by no less than 2% and up to the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index over the prior two years, if budget conditions permit

Removes the requirement that individual elected officials must file a written request to receive salary increases

Adds legislative finding that local governments are best positioned to make fiscal determinations regarding compensation increases for elected county officials
