Creates a new criminal offense prohibiting individuals from approaching or remaining within 25 feet of a first responder after receiving a verbal warning to stay back

Applies to law enforcement officers, probation officers, firefighters, and emergency responders who are engaged in the lawful performance of their duties

Violation requires intent to impede or interfere with the first responder's duties, threaten them with physical harm, or harass them (defined as willful conduct causing substantial emotional distress with no legitimate purpose)

Classified as a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $50 to $500, up to one year in jail, or both
