Exempts the West Virginia Legislature from cost-assessment, accounting, and reporting requirements administered by the Department of Administration's Shared Services Section

State spending units are required to report annually by April 1 to the Shared Services Section on costs of providing their own accounting and financial reporting services, but the Legislature is now excluded from this mandate

The Department of Administration must continue evaluating whether the Shared Services Section could provide accounting services more efficiently for other spending units and report findings to the Governor and Joint Committee on Government and Finance by December 31 annually

Passed April 10, 2025, and takes effect July 9, 2025 (90 days from passage)
