Licensed athletic trainers or other qualified healthcare providers (MDs, DOs, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or physical therapists) must perform specialized health procedures including concussion evaluations, musculoskeletal injury management, and environmental illness treatment

Athletic trainers are responsible for ensuring compliance with WVSSAC policies and state code provisions regarding concussions, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), and emergency action plans for sports
