Extends the sunset date for retired deputy sheriffs to return to covered employment from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2030, and increases the threshold from counties with fewer than 5 deputies to fewer than 10 deputies

Allows retired correctional officers in the bottom ten counties by per capita income, or any county where the commission approves, to return to work for up to five years without suspension of retirement benefits

Removes the 140-day limit on how many days retired teachers can work as substitutes per academic year, allowing unlimited substitute teaching without reduction in retirement benefits

Prohibits retired substitute teachers and their employers from making additional contributions to the retirement system during substitute employment

Requires counties and employers using these provisions to report to the Joint Standing Committee on Pensions and Retirement by October 1, 2029, with all provisions set to sunset July 1, 2030
