Allows licensed physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners to provide written exemptions from mandatory school vaccinations if immunizations are or may be detrimental to a child's health or are not appropriate

Prohibits licensing boards from taking disciplinary action against healthcare providers who issue vaccine exemption letters, and shields those providers from administrative or criminal penalties

Removes the existing requirement that the Commissioner of the Bureau for Public Health review and approve medical exemptions, shifting exemption authority directly to individual healthcare providers

Applies mandatory vaccination requirements only to public schools and state-regulated child care centers (removes references to private and parochial schools in some provisions)

Eliminates the Immunization Officer position and the formal exemption appeal process through the State Health Officer
