Increases the number of principal supervisors the West Virginia State Police superintendent may appoint from the current limit to 20 positions

Principal supervisors may hold temporary ranks of lieutenant colonel, major, or captain at the superintendent's discretion, with corresponding compensation

Appointments to principal supervisor positions are exempt from career progression system eligibility requirements

Members appointed to temporary ranks retain eligibility for promotion under the career progression system if their permanent rank is below first lieutenant

Effective date is July 9, 2025 (90 days after passage on April 10, 2025)
