Honors Ray Leslie (1922-2018), a World War II veteran who was drafted in 1943, received a battlefield commission, and served in the 80th Infantry Division under General Patton's Third Army

Leslie participated in major WWII operations including the Utah Beach landing on D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge relief of Bastogne, and crossing into Germany, serving over 267 days in combat

Leslie received multiple honors including the Combat Infantryman's Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four campaign stars, and France's Legion of Honor for his Normandy service
