Honors Sidney Washington, born March 7, 1900, in Greensboro, North Carolina, who enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 14, 1942, and served as a Warrant Officer through World War II

Washington worked as a lifelong coal miner at Buffalo Eagle Mines, Inc. until retirement and passed away on June 6, 1970, at James E. Crouch VA Hospital

Directs the Division of Highways to create and place signs identifying the memorial bridge

Instructs the Clerk of the House to forward a copy of the resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways
