Leonard N. Miller was born June 8, 1926, in Spencer, West Virginia, and enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 30, 1945, serving as a dental assistant

Corporal Miller served in the Medical Detachment for the 188th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11th Airborne Division, and was honorably discharged November 1, 1946

Miller received the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Airborne Parachutist Badge

After military service, Miller worked at Pennzoil and as a mechanic at International Garage until his death on December 14, 2017
