Opposes the People's Republic of China's misuse of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 (adopted October 25, 1971) to claim sovereignty over Taiwan and exclude Taiwan from international organizations

Reaffirms that the U.S. "one China policy" is distinct from China's "One China Principle" and does not recognize PRC claims of control over Taiwan

Calls on the United Nations to stop using Resolution 2758 to deny Taiwan's 23.5 million people participation in UN institutions, conferences, and events

Supports Taiwan's membership in international organizations where statehood is not required and encourages the U.S. government to work with allies to counter China's false narratives about the resolution

Notes that U.S. allies including Australia, the Netherlands, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Parliament have rejected China's distortion of Resolution 2758
