Allows sheriffs who are members of the West Virginia Public Employees Retirement System to retire at age 62 with only 8 years of contributing service, rather than the standard 10 years required for other members who joined after July 1, 2015

Applies specifically to sheriffs who became retirement system members by virtue of being elected sheriff and who are not participating in another state-administered retirement system

Maintains the requirement that all years of service must be actual, contributing years to qualify for retirement benefits

Amends §5-10-20 of the West Virginia Code governing voluntary retirement under the Public Employees Retirement Act
