Requires students in grades 3-6 to receive at least annual age-appropriate instruction in child sexual abuse prevention and personal safety/assault prevention, with parents able to opt out of the personal safety component via written request

Mandates students in grades 7-12 receive at least annual age-appropriate instruction in dating violence prevention and sexual violence prevention, including recognizing warning signs and characteristics of healthy relationships

Requires the State Board of Education to promulgate a legislative rule by July 1, 2025 establishing standards for training all public school employees on preventing child sexual abuse and recognizing/responding to suspected abuse

Public school employees must complete at least four hours of cumulative training on child sexual abuse prevention upon employment and renew their training every three years

Makes all requirements voluntary for public charter schools and nonpublic schools
