Public elementary and secondary schools must display a durable poster or framed copy of "In God We Trust" in a conspicuous location within a common area of the main building accessible to the public

State institutions of higher education must also display the national motto in a conspicuous location within a common area of the main building

The poster or framed copy must be at minimum 8.5 by 11 inches, contain a representation of the United States flag centered under the motto, and may not include any other words, images, or information

Schools and institutions may only use private donations to fund the displays; no public funds may be used for this purpose

The requirement applies to public charter schools and takes effect 90 days from passage on April 12, 2025
