Defines "extremely remote school" as one located 20+ miles from any existing public, charter, or private school (established before 2024) and serving at least 20 students

Counts each student enrolled in an extremely remote school as 2.5 students for purposes of calculating the county's basic foundation program funding

Prohibits county boards from closing an extremely remote school during any fiscal year in which they accept additional state aid for that school

Directs additional funding toward building operations, extreme weather preparedness (snow removal, heating upgrades, backup generators), and professional development for rural multi-grade teaching

Requires counties receiving the additional funding to submit annual reports on fund usage and impact, and allows extremely remote schools to request waivers from certain requirements including personnel mandates
