Authorizes county commissions to increase salaries of elected county officials (sheriffs, county clerks, circuit clerks, assessors, and prosecuting attorneys) by 2% to the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index every two years, beginning March 1, 2026

Removes previous requirements that the State Auditor certify the county's fiscal condition before salary increases could be implemented

Removes the requirement that individual elected officials file written requests to receive salary increases

Prohibits salary increases for counties more than 90 days delinquent in paying regional jail per diem costs

Maintains existing base salary schedules by county class (I through X), with the current schedules effective after June 30, 2022 serving as the baseline for future increases
