Child Protective Services workers must attempt to wear body-worn cameras while investigating all reports of child abuse or neglect

Workers must obtain consent from the person being investigated before using the body-worn camera during the investigation

Workers may choose not to use the camera if it would compromise the child's privacy or impede the investigation, with this decision documented in the case file

All audio and video recordings from body-worn cameras must be stored for the duration the case remains open

Body-worn camera recordings are classified as confidential child welfare records under existing state code
