A governor-proclaimed state of preparedness expires after 30 days unless the Legislature adopts a concurrent resolution to extend it

When a state of emergency follows a state of preparedness involving the same circumstances, the combined duration may not exceed 90 days without legislative extension

Requires the Governor to provide copies of any state of emergency or preparedness proclamation to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Delegates, and Joint Committee on Government and Finance

Makes technical and clarifying changes to statutory language throughout the emergency management provisions without altering existing protections for churches, firearms, and news media operations
