Requires the Public Employees Insurance Agency (PEIA) and private health insurers to reimburse licensed mental health practitioners at the same rate as licensed physicians for the same mental health services performed in the same geographic area.

Eligible practitioners for payment parity include those licensed under West Virginia code sections covering psychologists, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, and related mental health professionals.

Claims must be submitted using appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes, the practitioner's name, their national provider identifier, and facility information if required by the insurer.

Prohibits insurers from reducing reimbursement rates paid to licensed physicians as a means of complying with the parity requirements.

Changes take effect July 1, 2026, and apply to PEIA plans as well as individual, group, hospital service, health care corporation, and health maintenance organization insurance policies.
