Opposes the People's Republic of China's misuse of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 (adopted October 25, 1971) to claim sovereignty over Taiwan and exclude Taiwan's 23.5 million people from international organizations

Clarifies that Resolution 2758 only determined which government would represent "China" at the UN and did not address Taiwan's political status, endorse China's "One China Principle," or preclude Taiwan's participation in UN bodies

Calls on the United Nations to stop using Resolution 2758 to deny Taiwan participation in UN institutions and to allow Taiwanese nationals and media access to UN buildings and events

Reaffirms that the U.S. "one China policy" differs from China's "One China Principle" and does not recognize PRC claims of control over Taiwan

Directs the Clerk of the Senate to forward the resolution to West Virginia's congressional delegation
