Proposes a constitutional amendment to modify term limits for county sheriffs in West Virginia, to be voted on in the 2026 general election

Allows a person appointed to fill a sheriff vacancy with less than two years remaining in the term to subsequently serve two full consecutive elected terms

Current law limits sheriffs to two consecutive terms, after which they are ineligible for the immediately following term

Changes gendered language from "he" to "that person" in the constitutional provision

Designated as "Amendment 1" and titled the "Sheriff's Succession Amendment" for ballot purposes
