Designates March 17, 2025, as Domestic Violence Awareness Day at the West Virginia Legislature

Recognizes that nearly 24 people per minute experience physical violence, rape, or stalking by an intimate partner in the U.S., totaling over 12 million victims annually

Acknowledges that 14 licensed domestic violence programs served over 13,000 West Virginians in fiscal year 2023-2024, providing 104,167 shelter nights and 171,681 units of services across all 55 counties

Commits the Senate to addressing domestic violence with solutions that deter, prevent, and reduce such violence

Extends gratitude to the West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence, which has worked for over 40 years to provide services and systemic changes for survivors
