Eliminates the requirement for physician assistants (PAs) to practice under the supervision or collaboration of a physician in West Virginia, allowing them to practice independently

Removes the requirement for certified nurse practitioners (CNPs) to have a collaborative relationship with a physician in order to prescribe drugs they are otherwise qualified to prescribe

Repeals sections §30-3E-10a (practice notification requirements) and §30-3E-11 (collaboration with physician assistants) from the existing Physician Assistants Practice Act

Prohibits the licensing boards from proposing any rules that would restrict PAs or CNPs from practicing without physician supervision

Adds a certified nurse practitioner position to the West Virginia Board of Registered Nurses, changing board composition from two registered professional nurses in hospital/acute care settings to one, plus one CNP
